About Pine State Coffee
Locally owned, specialty roaster & cafe in Raleigh, NC partnering with triangle-area businesses in pastries, tea, and coffee.
Located at 1614 Automotive Way, Raleigh, NC 27604, Pine State Coffee operates as a coffee shop serving Raleigh in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 7 amβ4 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Raleigh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I got an iced honey,. vanilla, lavender latte with oatmilk. The best part was the espresso bean. Wonderful quality and clear taste. I could not taste the other flavors, even though I got three of them. That could have been a fluke. So, compositionally, it wasn't that great, but the quality of product was great. Also, I think the customer service was top notch. Very friendly and, helpful, and quick. The vibe is a must try, and it seemed like people regularly work remotely here. I'd give the latte a 4.4 and everything else a 5.

I absolutely love this coffee shop! So many great things to say about Pine State. The coffee tastes so good! The iced latte is my go-to, and I highly recommend if you're an iced coffee enjoyer. On top of that, it's spacious and clean inside with a lot of places to sit down to talk with friends or get some work done. They have a lot of cool decorations up too. There's a section of the store next to where you order with a free rotating booktrade. You can take a book if you give one away, really neat. Next to the trash and utensils, they have displays from a local artist up, and you can buy their artwork if you'd like. On the right side of the store, they sell Pine State specific merch and merchandise related to the Triangle. If someone was visiting the Triangle and could only try one coffee shop, I'd recommend here.

3.5 stars As someone who works remote, Iβm always looking for a good coffee shop to get something like to eat and get work done. This is a nice coffee shop and has a great vibe. Plan additional time to get your coffee, there is usually one person working. Extremely nice! The music is good and soft, not loud like some coffee shops. If you do not like dim lighting, then you may not like this coffee shop. The lighting did not bother me, but I was only there for 30 minutes typing on my computer. The biggest downside is that itβs hot in there. That makes it challenging to drink coffee and to get work done when youβre hot. They do have the side door open so maybe thatβs the cause but on a day that is 85Β° it was not comfortable. There is limited seating, I would say this is a coffee shop more for friends to talk less about getting your work done. I was the only one in the coffee shop, not in a business conversation or friend conversation, but trying to get work done. I thought there would be more food options, but there were not I got a muffin. It was good, but I was hoping there were more food options based on the photos. It is a bar by night, and sometimes coffee shops that are als

Environment is welcoming and relaxing, cozy yet spaciousβ¦β¨attentive service, delicious coffee and treats. Discovered my new sweet treat coffee: white chocolate macadamia nut latte thanks to Fawnβs recommendation. Devouring the Best Apple Bear Claw ever right now. Wish I would have brought my laptop so I could stay longer. There are high top tables with plugins front and center, no hunting for power. π I purchased another bag of my favorite coffee and a Pine State merch to-go mug. Support Local π€©

A brewery-style vibe with an open, industrial space and plenty of seating, making it great for hanging out or working. Service is quick, but prices are on the higher side. The banana foster flavor was very subtle.
